SYSTEMA

"Systema" means "The System". This martial art has been handed down within Russian families for generations, similar to the way Asian martial arts have been handed down for centuries.

The System has no katas (forms), but seems to have a lot of the applications one finds within other martial arts. It flows, allows the practitioner to strike from oftentimes strange angles, employs a "floating" center of gravity, looks like T'ai Chi on speed, and trains one in all manner of weapons as an extension of the practitioner.

NOTE: Systema training is currently offered on Tuesday nights from 6-7:00 p.m. with a low monthly floor fee of $39.50.
